Meet Dr. O’Hare

Dr. Meg O'Hare

Dr. Nicholas Hyde MD, founder of Elite Vein Specialists, is pleased to introduce Dr. Meg O’Hare MD to the practice. Dr. O’Hare offers an empathetic ear, a warm smile, and a skillful hand. She has already begun to see patients at the practice.

Dr. O’Hare received her MD degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and completed her residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
She has been in practice in the East Bay since 2011.

On a personal note, Dr. O’Hare has a long history as a patient herself with venous disease. As a mother of four children, she has struggled with varicose veins since giving birth to her first daughter in 2004. To treat her disease, Dr. O’Hare has endured several surgeries, countless injections, and Endovenous Laser Therapy. She personally knows how it feels to live with painful varicose veins. Most importantly, Dr O’Hare knows how powerful recovery can be, not only in eliminating your chronic discomfort but also in regaining your self-confidence. As a result of her personal journey, she is a compassionate listener and an empathetic practitioner. Whether you have a few small spider veins or larger varicose veins, she will ascertain the best treatment plan for you. Dr. O’Hare understands that treating veins is a process and she will be your partner every step of the way.

When Dr.O’Hare is not working, she is on the pool deck cheering on her kids playing water polo. She is an avid swimmer and a former NCAA Division I athlete. Outside the water, she enjoys tennis with friends and loves yoga.
